Thesis title: Human-animal interactions, early life experiences and stress resilience in pigs. Megan investigated the effects of human contact and housing during rearing on stress in pigs. She found that these early experiences affected the behavioural and physiological responses of pigs later in life to routine commercial stressors, highlighting the importance of the early environment on pig welfare.
